About David
David S. Avellaneda-Jiménez is a PhD student under the Science and Technology of Materials program at the National University of Colombia, from which he graduated as Geologic Engineer in 2016 and received his MS in Mineral Resources in 2018. He is currently interested in the crustal thickening mechanisms and uppermost mantle heterogeneities along the Colombian Andes and its relationship with the complex subduction geodynamics by means of lithospheric architecture modeling using an integrated petrologic, gravity and seismic approach.
