About Santiago
Santiago is a PhD candidate at the National University of Colombia and holds a MSc degree in Geochemistry and Tectonics from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. He uses geo-thermochronological, sedimentological and geochemical techniques to study the coupled evolution of orogenic belts and surrounding sedimentary basins in response to subduction dynamics. Santiago is currently working on the Neogene tectono-stratigraphic history of the northern Colombian forearc basin.
